Quince? Help?!

I'm just back wandering through the market with hubby, and we happened upon quince! I have happy memories of this in a pie, but haven't a clue about them. We've bought two from memories that they were supposed to be similar to apples and they were presented in a pie, but help? Do you have any favorite recipes for using them

A friend of mine adores quince jelly on toast, not sure if 2 will be enough to make some though!
