Well we headed out to Richmond again today, I decided to take Sonny for a trip out before we start doing some Pictons! Started off badly this morning when my phone didn't change the clock forward 
But after rushing around a while we got there with plenty of time to spare.
I took Sonny in the Novice first, all breeds in together. He was really good, and we came THIRD
So I was absolutely thrilled with him, the judge was quite complimentary about him which was great!
In the Novice -
Then we waited a while, hurredly swapped bits, and went into the Fell/Dales/Highland/Welsh D Open. I was a bit more relaxed by this point, and we were pulled in SECOND. Did my show which went quite well I thought. The judge couldn't decide who to place and so made us trot and canter round again. And. To my utter and complete surprise (I thought we were going to be dropped down the line as the other ponies in there were lovely)....we were pulled in FIRST!!!! I am absolutely over the moon with Sonny, I never really expected Sonny to win an Open class, certainly not aged 6 (rising 7)!!! I can't believe it really, just so so pleased with him

This is only the second ever ridden class I've won with Sonny, and he's barely done ANY open classes at all, so I am even more pleased with him!!!
Also means I've qualified for the Summer Champs, so might have to make the trip down!

What brilliant results! Sonny is looking fantastic - a well deserved winner and a real credit to you!
