While I was away in Oxford Anna very kindly sent me a photo of D's scan. Here it is: Baby is 19 days old in this piccie apparently!

I think D might be growing a black hole!!! Which bit is the baby?!!
Never been able to work out human baby scans either! LOL!

The black hole is the foal, had she had it taken about 10 days later it tends to look like a baby hippo as you can start seeing an actual shape (4 little legs sticking out). We had cherry scanned just recently at about 3 month stage and I'm sure its a picture of the foal head as you can see ears but we're not sure.

It makes it seem real when you can look at the scan!!! At least with humans you can see a gradual increase in size, but this is not obvious for a good few months with mares. But you can keep looking at your scan and knowing that little black dot is growing bigger, Linda!!
