I took Harvey to another Affiliated Dressage comp yesterday for Tanya to ride. It was a new venue to me so all very exciting. I thought Harvey might be a little tired from the long journey but he was brilliant! I think the fact that it was quite fresh and breezy, a new venue and high up on a hill gave him extra spark. Anyway, Tanya rode him beautifully and he went the best I've ever seen him go. He WON the Prelim on 64%, came 4th in the Novice, earned 2 BD points and also £16!!!! That is the most money I've ever won at a competition.......but immediately spent most of it on a fabulous photo of Harvey. There were lots of really good photos of Harvey and I'm going to order a CD of them. Interesting to see a big improvement for the last set of pics taken at a competition. The photographer loves Harvey and I had to give all our details as he's going in Equestrian Life magazine! Harvey creates quite a stir at these events being the only Dales amongst all the TBs and WBs. Usually he is mistaken for a Friesian but gradually the news is spreading that there is a Dales Pony competing on the BD circuit in this area. Here is a link to the official pics (I'll be ordering a CD of them) www.equestrianphotography.co.uk/events-elms-farm-bd-24th-sept-08-c-8_346.html numbers 843-009 to 016 and 033 to 046. You can see the photographer really liked him because she took so many pics of Harvey compared to the other horses. ;D

Oh CONGRATULATIONS!!! Didn't he do well? I LOVE the photos and I'm sure some of those will be converting the French! He's going to famous then? Must see a copy of Equestrian Life when he's in it! You must be over the moon!

Pam - all the photos are great but that's because Harvey is so good at his job You are right to be proud of him! I think you should choose your two favourite pics for the French website - maybe one landscape and one portrait ? I love 44 though!
