Jaq Ref Mistie, my kn*b's more handsome and I'm closer! Ha ha! Sh*g your granny mate!! Love Tim Tim - have you been looking at photos of Jacq's bits? I think you may be a little confused son. Concentrate on Choc and Celt's bits instead! Jacq doesn't have a granny yet, but he does have an Auntie Lass. Problem is she's pregnant. He has a very pretty sister called Becky. Can Tim advise if it's acceptable to, quote, sh*g your sister If yes, please explain what sh**ging is. Remember Jacq is French so he has a little more refinement of speech and the glamorous advantage - "je t'adore ma petite cherie uh huh huh" etc, etc... Anna - please send Flora, Foxy, Soxy and Katy asap. Jacq is terrified that Tim will pick off all the talent before he gets a look in Happy New Year Tim

Tim can't come to answer Jacq's post as he's had his mouth washed out with soap for being a rude little boy! (Actually it may be me to blame for posting under the influence!!! ) All ponies are sulking as they were all groomed within an inch of their lives and re-done with Coopers as Mr grumpy is still scratching although there is nothing obvious hitching a ride. I hate the smell of it, it makes me feel sick and gives me a headache and means I can't cuddle anyone for a few days until it wears off! Bleugh! Tim thought Cadeby was Jacq's honourary Granny?? Anyway, he's deffo stolen a march as he says he has written little love letters to all the young ladies that have appeared on the board, and he knows where the post box is! Also Celt has been teaching him French so he can appear more refined and sophisticated! Sacre-bleu! He was actually a good boy this morning as I tied him up in the stable and we took Mummy next door to be "done" and he didn't throw a strop (unlike some young ladies I could mention!) and was still tied up when it was his turn to enter the parlour!! We may have cracked tying up (fingers crossed) without having to teach it there's something to be said for ride and lead! PS Sister's are out, Jacq, stick with the grab a granny like Taz!

Tim thought Cadeby was Jacq's honourary Granny?? She will be, but only at weaning. She has one more month of relative peace before she has to suffer two lively boys Sorry to hear the unwelcome crawly guests are still present. Have you caught one of the blighters for a specific diagnosis? If you knew for sure what they are, maybe you could napalm them with a specific insecticide??? Sounds like Tim is doing really well with his tying-up. I guess all the ride-and-lead has taught him to respect the pressure. Clever boy

Can't find anything moving (or dead for that matter!) Helen, so thought I'd do a second dose of Coopers and then go to plan B if that doesn't work. I feel so sick I won't be doing Coopers again though, it stinks, pleasant smell my butt! I'll be using sheep dip and a large pit next! CC says Happy New Year to Mummy and Daddy!

Lucy, I've had or am having the same problem re itchy pony and Coopers not working, you are supposed to repeat it after 14 days which I have done! I have now gone for Frontline and the said pony has had lots of it sprayed on and will be repeated in 14 days. At £47 per bottle it had better work!! I also use it on feathers for mites and I am sure I read you also do same. I did 2 ponies tonight and need to do another 2 soon, I am considering getting the vet to write out a prescription and searching on line for somewhere cheaper because I am buying so much of the stuff it's costing so much! Well done Tim re tying up you are being soooooo good, please stay good even when the hormones kick in. Scally was a nightmare, come to think of it he still is Penny had a wander around the yard tonight when she came in with Victoria, both Scally and Duke thought they were on to a good thing Tim Misty and Penny are both spoken for sorry!

Tim Misty and Penny are both spoken for sorry! Oh Barbara, the poor little chap is broken hearted! I saw him shedding a tear and crossing them out of his little black book He's gone to chat up Auntie choc to console himself! I had to laugh just, I'd put a shaken out slice of haylage on the stable floor for Amy, Tim stood on top of it then balled it up between his front and back legs and the proceeded to back it round the stable with a not too amused mother following him round trying to eat it!! He wasn't bothered about eating it, he was just playing! Amy's paying me to wean him soon, especially as her back bone and ribs have appeared for the first time since I bought her (hence being in with extra tea and forage). ;D

Oh yes, I've used Frontline on Amy's legs and have never managed to completely get rid of the leg mites, and it does cost a fortune! Let me know if you find a cheap outlet! I'll ask my pharmacist friend (unless Mickey knows?) if they do something similar for humans as it is normally cheaper!!

When the pony came back to sharing D's field he had lice. D started scratching frantically and I used Spot On for cattle on them both. Worked really well.

Hello! Tim has been very busy since Xmas and consequently I haven't had time to post for him! Back at work so will post at the weekend if I don't get time before!
Oh, Tim says Scally should "keep them tucked up as it's cold and safer!" LOL!!!
Was Duke bad as a baby before he found manners?

Ummm - must be something in the air. For the first time ever, Taz took a chunk out of me today then tried to hunt me down in the field. I put it down to excitement at his first snow, but it's more likely that dreaded stuff testosterone Colts He was also threatened with a little surgery and learnt some new language

Tim had a testosterone moment at the vets when he had his second jab! I was gobsmacked, he's never done anything like that before!! He needs to keep his plums til 3 else my cunning plan is stuffed!
Is Cadeby ok? I'd missed her having PTS type problems?

What did his naughty testosterone make him do to the vet? Sounds like you are going to have an interesting next couple of years! Hopefully it won't be your cunning plan that will be stuffed!

Yes, I was going to ask the same thing, what did he do at the vets?? Maybe we should start a new topic, The naughtiest colt What he did today that was so bad and what we did!! I have just looked in my diary for last year and Scally was approximately 6 months and 1 week when I weaned him. We did gradual weaning, at first stabled together at night and then outside with Delight all day and at night in stables next to each other, they could see and touch each other. Then one day we brought them both in and promptly took Delight back out and Scally had another stable companion. About 2 weeks later I started doing walk and trot up with him in the sand school and it was shortly after that he started to become a real pain in the ****
