Merls use to do this and he was so sharp and like you Valerie I had no warning at all he just seemed to do it, he only tends to spin now if he is really afraid of something and it does help if you can see it coming and try and push them on, I,m not much help I,m afraid, but I think going back to basics with some ground work and building up the ponies trust does help them.

to be honest, I dont think Tomas and me are meant to be a team,I sooo wanted to have another Dales but after riding Scout,I just cant gel with another beastie  Scout is not Plod mind, but am used to his antics well I would be Ive had him since 2000,he has a tendency to Canter on the spot which "apperently" looks really scarey but I thinks its simply fantastic  so am not going to interferre anymore and am going to stick to my guns and my slightly mad Hoss Scout xx  |
