Yes Ren, if you want to come for one day, why not come earlier to a one day clinic? They are good fun and like mini camps in themselves!

I am so excited about it!! I am backing Rocket in June this year so I am really looking for Tanya to help us by seeing what me and Rocket need to work on together. Its gonna be great to get some concentrated lessons that will ensure that Rocket and I start on the right track together.

I can't wait to see Rocket again either! He was the friendliest, cuddliest foal I've ever met!

me too and Alex (am i assuming the right alex and Julie Pam!!) I keep writing my aims for camp but then i keep changing my mind. It sort of depends how the next few months go, ideally by then I'm hoping we'll have comfortably done and competed in some novice classes and also done some bigger classes at the Yorkshire and Lincoln Co. Plus hopefully we'll have done at least one hunter trial (triers pairs level, maybe a novice if we get brave) and some BD tests Prelim level. So by August, i'll be thinking about possibly transitioning from the snaffle into a double or pelham bridle for the grown-up Open classes, i think she'll be about ready by then. Also looking to do the step up to doing some Novice BD tests if its all gone well at prelim level (i think, thats quite scary though!!). Camp also falls really well in between P(UK) summer champs and Equifest so I'm hoping it as a bouncing board from what goes wrong at PUK and a bootcamp for Equifest plus prep for the intermediate classes at the performance show. Thats if it all goes well over the next few months, fingers crossed!! Is that alright?? not sure really where we'll be.

Gill, we are still thinking it through. People can either camp on site with use of Tanya's bathroom facilities or there are several very nice local B&Bs and there would be no problems ferrying people back and forth. Roma is putting together a list of places to stay which I'll post on here. I can also put one or 2 people up although I'm 45 minutes away from Tanya.
For the ponies we are going to devide one or 2 of Tanya's paddocks up using electrics. There will be day stables available too and it will be a matter of juggling Tanya's own horses around. I think Linda is intending to take Saturn home each night and I can do the same with Harvey if it leaves more space for every one else.
For lunches we are either going to provide a simple snack of sandwiches and the like or will do a "Tesco run" for every one and anticipate the cost being around £5 per person.
Evening meals will be either BBQ or take aways and we will all pay towards it on the day.

Ren - when we planned the camp originally we thought a couple of people might just want to come for one day, hence the £30 for a day. But the interest in the full 3 days has been so good that I'm not sure if and/or how many extra ponies we can reasonabley cater for so, if you can bear with me, I'd like to talk it through with Tanya first. There're always the one day clinics............ All grooms/spectators/friends very welcome! More on this later. ;D No problem, I'd like to try and get over for a one day clinic over the next couple of months or so anyway. We're not quite so busy now shooting season's over!

yippee I am sooooo excited! I don't know yet whether I'll bring Jasmine (dads pony, he's letting me ride her this year) or Winnie (the fell), both at the moment are very novice, winnie especially so, so hopefully by august we'll at least be cantering!...LOL nothing really specific to work on - just want to have fun!

My aim is just to stay on Merls and have some fun!!! as most of you will know schooling and lessons are not really my thing, hence my terrible position, but I have always wanted to do a dalescamp and I have seen at some of the performance shows the diiference in peoples confidence after attending one, so hopefully there is some hope for me.

My aim for camp is to get Saturn doing a bit of jumping, nothing big but maybe big enough to do novice class at the Performance Show! I am hoping his half sister will show him how to do it! If I can do this, without being completely pi***d, then I will have achieved a HUGE goal! I might have to start off pretty tanked up though! LOL!

She'll happily give you a lead over them Or do it first on Annie, and then do it on Saturn but whichever I know you'll do it! Pam, me and Annie will commute too if thats ok? I'm going too anyway (back to dads) and will be taking the lorry as I won't have my car so I'll just take her back with me too and that'll leave more space at Tanyas for everyone esle?
