I wondered when Blossom would come in to throw the spanner in the works. I really should get around to DNA testing her. Now to find the time, money, oh and how to explain to her about wanting to rip out how much hair? Van, you know you want to .... go for it ;D Heather's right, with Maggie taking care of her, Twinks could not be in better hands. And Harley is soooo yummy!!!!

Heather, Blossom says 1 hair would be okay (because she wouldn't know what would be happening), but beyond that ~ You know her, soooo Princess and the Pea. LOL, you should have seen when Galahad first arrived last year. The flies were bad, but not that bad, but Blossom was throwing this absolute fit over them. Really over the top. Galahad just looked at her as much to say, "Good God, woman, they're not all that bad!" She has toned it down a bit since then. Ah, Heather, which test test to use? I got lost. Do I need to test for the base colour? Or the bay identifier? Or both??

The only pic I've seen of her, she was a dark steely grey. It would be very interesting to see Maisie's genetics, as I think she's the one who's thrown so many colours on her babies.
Hmmm....behind the knees might not be too sensitive for her. Now just to come up with the time and money for the tests.

Evie, or Heather, can you pm me about the heckberry thread? We have Blossom's test results!!! She's EE Aa So homozygous for black. And heterozygous for bay. Now I'm wishing I'd done the grey test, but I'll be doing that next as soon as the pennies become available.

I've been saying all along if Blossom was another breed, she'd be a seal bay. So now we're verified. Maizie's photo on Mr Ireland's webpage shows her as a black based grey. www.kilmannan.demon.co.uk/mazie.htmIts very possible she went through bay stages with her foal coats, but this is the only earlier picture I've seen of Maizie. Thanks for the other links! I'm off for a bit of reading Vanda I'm sorry we've hijacked your thread. Ooops!
