Home made fly repellent recipes

Please post any tips and success stories of fly remedy's you have had on here .

"Hi guys did a really cool combination of essential oils today 6 drops of citronella,clove and lemon grass diluted in 700cl of water and shook!! the flies,hornets and horse fly,s actually buzzed off, so pleased as i have been having a real problem with the things so at last cracked it , no more expensive fly repellents from the shops!!"

Just a test post to try and fix the board

15mls citronella oil(or tea tree oil)
2 tablespoons methylated spirits
1 tablespoon washing up liquid
4 tablespoons vinigar
1 mug strong tea

Mix everything together with 2 litres of cold water and shake well before use.

I use a plastic milk carton or a empty 2litre pop bottle.
