I saw this over on Fell Pony Fans and wanted to spread the word to anyone who lives in this area:
I am a member of Horsewatch and today the Police texted me a message warning that if you find a plait in your horses' or ponys' mane to remove it ASAP and to report it to the Police. Could be that they are being targeted by thieves.
There is obviously some activity going on in my area at the moment - I am in Wiltshire.
If you are not already signed up for Horsewatch please contact your local police and find out about it. You will then be sent a text of any suspicious activitiy in your area regarding horses and horseboxes/trailers, etc.
