i am really going to have to get my young'uns measured. Alice (3) is bigger than doris who is 14hh, Duke (2) is catching up to Alice! Duke is like a whippet at the moment - looks more like a TB youngster than a dales pony

I've added an update for my lot. Merlin has had a growth spurt over the winter and is now 15hh He is still very slack jointed and unbalanced so is still not yet back under saddle although his groundwork is going well and vet and chiro think we'll be able to start him again this summer as long as we're careful. I have NO idea how come he's grown so big and so gangly, we haven't fed him any hard feed other than trace element support and he's not been on lush grazing or overly pampered. Tola has remained the same as she was when around 3.5yrs old, I was hoping she'd level up as she's slightly downhill at the moment but she's not showing any signs of doing so yet. She is going great guns under saddle and is now learning to canter instead of Dales trot all the time. We're hacking out quite a lot and she's learning lots of things for our Parelli level 3 certificate. Legs has reached the point where I'm going to stop looking He's starting to look less gangly but obviously has more growing to do yet.
