Doc's schooling has been coming along really . . . until we introduced canter, he throws hiself all over the place to get out of doing it, so much so in this weeks lesson he came out of the menage with sore's in the corner of he's mouth other than vaseline is there anything else I can do to help work thru this situation I ride him in a Myler loose ring french link.

Its Anna on mums laptop but are the loose rings pinching?
Its the one reason I don't like using loose rings, can you switch to a fixed ring and yes put the vaseline on. I would also just let it heal a little bit if its actually sore before going back to schooling as if its causing any pain he may start to associate pain with schooling/riding if that makes sense. No worries though, it'll soon heal.

I do, or hanging cheek if thats what you want (Dylan goes in a myler hanging cheek), whatever suits, just so the rings are fixed in place and not loose ring.
