I just bought an ice cream maker - it's one where you freeze the bowl first, then make the mixture, chill it in the fridge, then churn it in the machine.
Has anyone got any tried and tested recipes? I assume there's a basic recipe for the base, then you just add whatever you want?
There's a recipe in the instruction book but it's turned out very eggy!!! Not sure if it's because our eggs are quite strong being so free range...perhaps I should only have used one yolk?

I saw lavendar ice cream on another site too - sounds very random! I may have to try it.....
