After an 8mth illness my beautiful boy finally left us. His was a short life, but in the two years I owned him he brought me a lot of joy and confidence. He had a cheeky, feisty personality, but was as gentle as a lamb under saddle. Never a plod, but always 100% safe whether on the road, in open fields or in an arena.
He had a face that never failed to make me smile, and before he was ill his joy for life was infectious. He was always first to trot over to greet me in the field, and was a loving and dearly loved friend.
It was cruel the way fate visited such a lousy condition on such a wonderful pony, but he is at peace now and has left me with happy memories of his generous soul.
These pictures were taken just a week before his illness started- its hard to believe such a change could come about in 7 days. It was the last schooling session we did.
I love the first picture because it showed his energy. The second one was taken only a few minutes later, and shows what a wonderful pony he was when I was on board.
