Was fairly ok today, happy look in her eyes which is always good. Still a little stiff, however she was walking pretty fast. Didn't take her off the field because I didn't want to force her to walk the distance (she was pretty far back) and she's in season and prefers to stay with gelding Jesse.

Pleased to hear she's feeling a bit better. It's a roller-coaster ride with these oldies She must feel like she's a 3 year old filly in her head - in season and wanting to make babies with Jesse

Past two days Cassey seemed to be doing well again. She still takes some pressure off her bad leg, but she looks happy again and seems to be pain free. So long as she can comfortably adjust her walking to avoid any problems she's fine. Her good leg is doing very well and isn't bothered by the extra strain, lucky she's such a strong pony! Btw: I checked if it hurt if I put pressure on her knee with my fingers. Answer is NO, so very pleased! She's been walking around happy and healthy for years with both a fracture and arthritis in her knee. Now what horse can pull that off? None is my guess... My brave little girl

That's really good news. She is probably like most of us when we age- we get days/weeks when our joints really ache, then we shake if off.
