Something terrible has happened today. My nephew Philip has two black labs, Lottie and Lizzie. This morning Philip went out on his farm taking the dogs with him to scare pigeons off his rape fields with bird scaring rockets. One of the rockets fell over after he lit it and went horizontal. Lizzie saw it, bolted after it and despite Philip's desperate attempts to call her back chased it, got hold of it and it exploded. Lottie was killed outright. To say he is devastated would be an understatement. Today would have been Philip's fathers 69th birthday, he died from a brain tumour at the beginning of this month. I just feel so sorry for him. RIP Lottie x

Oh what a dreadful thing to happen. I can't begin to imagine how poor Philip is feeling. So very sorry.  RIP Lottie |

Oh no. That's unbelievably tragic. At least Lottie would not have known and died having fun. I feel so sorry for her owner. Just awful for him  Run free Lottie xx |
