I am looking for some advice please. I am doing my first ridden class at the weekend, it is a novice ridden class. Do I have to use a double bridle and pelham or a pelham with roundings or can I ride in a snaffle. Getting quite stressed thinking about it but have to do the first one sooner or later. I am hoping that those of you who do this regularly may give me some tips please. Many thanks.

Yep, snaffle bridle only in novice classes. It's why I went straight to Open as I had to ride Drummer in a Pelham the first couple of years as he found shows way too exciting Once he became more experienced and calmer we could do the Novice classes in a snaffle. I'm sure that's not what the organisers intend when they set these rules though
