Saturday morning we decided to take Izzie to her first show. Only a small show but thought it would be nice one for her first show. So after I rode Holly and Dora we thought we better get her bathed and OMG the hair!! Gave her a good scrub and sent my Mum back to the house to get some conditioner to help with the knots in the mane. Even if I didn't get her really clean at lest she smelt nice. LOL.
Sunday morning came and yes as normal she looked like she had been dragged through a hedge backwards. She loves her stable and every night she lays down getting covered in straw. Got the trailer out and loaded her up. Only one little push up the bum and she walked in. Traveled like a pro but was very sweaty when we got there. Gave her a walk around to cool her down and in the class. She was a bit strong and pulled me around in trot but was still pleased as she did as she was told and no being silly. Got pulled in second which I was over the moon with. Did our trot up and again was a good girl. The judge sent us all out and and pulled us in first! Couldn't believe it. The judge said she loved her and there wasn't anything she didn't like. That made my day and was going to take her straight home but a friend persuaded me to stay for the Championship. We put her away for a while as it started to rain and she just stood eating her hay. When it stopped we got her out again and then stood eating the grass not bothered with anything.
We all got called in the Championship and there was about 13 in it. She went even better and didn't pull at all. WE all stood in a line for ages and the judge pulled me a 3 others out to the front. She stood for a while then pointed to us as Champion!!! Well I was speechless and anyone that knows me that in its self is amazing.
I was so pleased with my new girl and she was a joy to do everything with. She has just got another show at the end of next month and then that will be it until next year.
Oh, and now on a big diet as have put so much weight on over the last couple of months as I have been unwell again.
