I think I must have been a very good girl because Santa brought me this : Kingmaker Union Jacques, 5 year old Dales gelding, by Thornville Pride out of Lowhouses Fiona. Jac is one of our homebred ponies who we sold as a yearling to a new home in County Durham. He has now returned to France to be my principle ridden pony, although he loves to jump and I'm not too sure that I still do I am so excited to own him again. He's a super sweet lad, as honest as they come, and willing to give anything a go. I'm really looking forward to 2014 with him. Newbie - we have an electronic log splitter. It's brilliant. It was a Christmas present from my parents a few years ago and is still going strong and really, really useful

Helen you must have been a VERY good girlie indeed! What a gorgeous Christmas pressie I'm so glad Jacques has made his way back home to you, he's matured beautifully. I got function plumbing again for Christmas and Knock on wood it stays functioning! Hubby's mum surprised us with some yummy frozen meals and we got various dvds to watch. Oh, and I did finally get a replacement pocket knife. It took me ages to find the right one and I found it in a jewelry shop of all places. It's about 3 inches long, inlaid with mother of pearl and lapis with a damascus blade. I've already used it for opening hay bales and it works a treat. I hope everyone has a lovely holiday

Jac looks lovely Helen, hope you lots of fun with him. We don't really do pressies at Christmas we have stuff during the year if there's anything we want or need but I did get a new cardigan and some money, have't decided what to spend it on yet, maybe a new front panel for the lorry above the luton as its going rotten in one corner.
My best present was a fabulous ride on Christmas morning in lovely sunshine with Amy and Silver, the first time I've ridden on Christmas day since I was a kid still at home as I've usually got too much to do entertaining. Mike and I were on our own for the first time this year and it was lovely very relaxed with no time constraints or pressure

Well who'd've thought Cadeby had been such a good girl this year?? Jac looks fab, hope you have loads of fun with him, you never know he might rekindle a love for jumping in you.... I got some long boots, a couple of books and a few other bits and bobs. If at all possible I like to ride out on Christmas Day, and had a gorgeous little ride yesterday, thankfully the weather in Yorks wasn't as bad as some other parts of the country.
