My pregnant mares are all blooming, despite the soggy, grey weather and seas of mud There's just 8 weeks to go before Gem and Tetley are due to foal, so I'm hoping we don't get a late Spring. I'm pleased with the way all five girls look - in terms of body-condition, not cleanliness!!! Their foals are really showing now, but none of them are too fat, although there's still time for Becky to follow her normal routine and change from pony to hippo! The girls are out 24/7 with access to ad-lib hay and just a small amount of Top Spec Balancer to meet their vitamin/mineral needs. They can go inside to shelter if they choose, but they all prefer to stay outside and look unloved Modelling their baby-bellies from left to right are Becky (Packsfield Ella Beck), Inca (Wolsey Quebec), Gem (Manorian Moonstone), Tetley (Twywell Rosie Leigh) and our Fell Pony mare Greenholme Spice who's in-foal to a black Fell stallion; Grahamsley Crackerjack. ...and another pic of Becky because it makes me laugh. She's filthy and dripping wet, but happy as larry

The do look great Helen. The mud isn't that visible and even if it were it doesn't spoil their looks!

Lovely ponies, they look in great condition, hope the mud dries up before they foal.

they look great, hopefully all will have dried up before foaling. It still seems such a long time to go....

They look lovely Helen, I think we worry about the weather more than they do..I feel guilty when Scout is out in this awful rain and mud x
