Hi all, my sister brought Fen from Helen (cadeby) last year and since coming over he has done very little. However yesterday we decided to take him out to his first little competition, my sister is currently out of action with health problems so she played happy owner from the ringside whilst I did the energetic bit! Anyhow we are so proud of the lad cannot fault him in any way, considering he has only travelled in a box with his sister Destiny when they came over from France and has never been off our yard! He loaded and travelled like a dream unloaded had a bit of a shout so EVERYONE knew he had arrived and settled to the job in hand like an old pro! 3 classes in a row and he showed himself and kept the excitement under wraps like any true professional! Condition he came away with a special as he looks like a walking rug still hanging onto his winter woolies! Novice he came 2nd in a very big strong class, Youngstock he came 5th and after a little break by which time he was really tired we did M&M and he came 4th highest placed non welsh! Loaded and travelled home happily munching his hay, what a boy and what a positive start to his showing days! One very proud owner and one proud aunty who is suffering from all the running today lol! Piccies!!!

What an amazing young lad every time I see new pics of him, I just can't get over how gorgeous he is. He's really going to be a head turner when he comes into his own as a stallion. Way to go for his first outing clearly he's happy with his mummy and auntie to be handling so much new stimulus like an old pro. Congratulations

Really well done Shell and Emma. I'm so pleased that he behaved himself and took all the new sights and sounds in his stride I can see that he's really shot up in the 4 months since he left France! The compact, pretty-boy foal has grown into a lanky, pretty-boy teenager, lol. Was the judge anyone I would know? I like these 2 pics that Emma took of Fen. Probably because I have a thing for Dales bums Thanks to you and Emma for keeping me up-to-date with his progress and the regular photos. Hugs to the BFG Apollo too xx

Well you've just made King's day Michelle. Martin and I have been totally undecided as to whether we would mate Defender's dam Fiona to Wilf or to King this year. We seem to have been changing our minds on a daily basis, lol. Fiona had Jac and Finn by Wilf, and Bryher and Defender by King. I've liked all four foals, which doesn't make choosing easy! But looking at Fen's yearling pics and reading your show report, King wins the lady this year

LOL pleased to help King will be happy! Judge was Julian Williams, never met him before he is a truely lovely man so helpful and chatty. Thanks for all the compliments guys, Emma loves him(and Apollo) to bits I have just about forgiven her for all the secrecy and the surprise arrival of this lovely lad xx

Welllll, I suppose major surgery is a good excuse. You're a wonderful sister to give her a happy memory to think on while she's recovering I think Fen looks lovely with his collection of pastel ribbons of course I love pastel colours anyways, but I think he did really well for his first outing
