I am finally fed up with cleaning my one and only bridle and swapping bits each time I go to a show. So I've decided to take the plunge and buy a show bridle to keep clean for posh days out. So what should I be getting? Flat brow and nose band? What type of reins (I ride in a Pelham at shows)?

I had a nice one with a flat brow and nose band, get one that suit your pony, some have a nice face so you can get thinner leather, mine had a HUGE head so he had a really thick noseband x

ive just bought a hunter bridle for mine with a flat noseband and browband. i like quite a thick leather rein for showing not full plaited ones as they hurt my fingers but the ones with the single plait on them, forget what they are called! x

that reminds me I have some laced reins somewhere...... I also have plain, but thinner/not as wide reins for the curb rein.
I like Sabre bridles, nice quality, clean up well, and not too expensive- also you can buy all pieces separate to fit a dales head
