I haven't been on here for a while and it has been a year of major ups and downs. Sadly in January I lost my beautiful boy Nipna Double Rocket to a very sudden illness aged only 8 years old. I thought I would never have another one and was thinking of packing it all in when fate stepped in and last Tuesday I become mum to little Camber Castle Grace. She has settled really well and here are some videos of her and my Shetland Evie having a good old bomb around.
She was very nervous when she arrived but every day she is coming on in leaps and bounds. We have gone from being scared of being touched, to now enjoying neck scratches and happy to have her headcollar put on and off in less than a week.
I am totally in love with her and am so looking forward to our life together.

I'm shocked and so sad with your losing your lovely boy but I'm so glad this little filly came along for you. She looks incredibly clever and I love how she tries her luck with Evie, but gets nowhere I'm sure you'll have loads of fun with her.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear about Rocket. I remember him as a foal and he was such a friendly, adorable lad. How heart breaking to lose him so soon but I am so glad little Grace has you for a Mum now and wish you many happy years together. Lovely to see Evie again too. Do keep us posted with how they get on.

It's so sad losing a horse at such a young age that must've been devastating. But this young girl looks so adorable! I love her grace and how she carries her tail so high! She even did a little bit of passage at one point in the second video! I love it when horses go crazy like this; it makes you feel so happy to see such beautiful animals enjoying themselves so much.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. I was devastated to lose Rocket and honestly I thought it would get easier as time goes on, but I still think of him at least once an hour and regularly shed a tear. I don't think I will ever get over losing him as he was my baby. Grace has a very different personality and is a very clever little girly and I must admit it is wonderful to have a dales in my life again. She is only 8 months old but has had very little handling up till now. However after only a week, she has stopped being the scared little pony hiding at the back of her stable and came bouncing out this morning. She did a beautiful passage all the way to the field with the odd foal hop and it is lovely to see her so excited about life and going out to play. I couldn't be happier with her
