(puke)I might manage it if they put a stomach tube down not sure I could swallow it Have you looked into herbal type treatments for her, or changing the type of probiotics she is getting, just random thoughts comming into my head

The protocol of treatment Donna will put together next week will be based on herbal treatments, she's been on several different herbs already and one lot of separate pre and probiotics I bought she wouldn't touch, even when I tried to introduce a tiny bit at a time, she just left her food. Now we know what we are dealing with Donna can use her expertise to put together the right combination of stuff for her, I hope.
I've been tempted to try a few different things in the mean time, but I think it's sensible to wait now for Donna, she's back on Monday so shouldn't be long now until we can get started.
She's also got feather mites again that I'm trying different things on, not having much luck with that at present but she's certainly not having Detromax again.

just to confuse you further, we used Aloe Vera Juice for Foxy when she was first wormed with us and had quite a burden, she was a bit colicky for a day or two and that helped

I have been using ruggle - it for a few days now, I bought it a couple of years ago when my dog had big bald patches and I forgot I'd got it, not seen any improvement yet but will keep on with it I expect it will need a little while before the itching stops, and of course need to continue until the next lot of eggs have hatched.
She is being driven demented, stamping her back feet, but the worse thing is she is biting at the side of her foot, which is the closest she can get to the heel and making it bleed, as soon as it starts to heal she's biting it again.

Could you use frontline spray on her feathers, we use it if in foal mares are stamping and it needs to be repeated after about 10 days.

Yes, not licensed for horses but works very well. Spray on to the feathers parting them as you rub in to the hair wearing a glove. Repeat before the next lot hatch, I do between 10-12 days. You would need to cover the bits she has bitten with a barrier of sudocrem or Vaseline I expect.

I've used the frontline spray with great success. Still a bit of a worry with Em though as she is so sensitive to chemicals. I assume the chemical must penetrate through the skin barrier as it works systemically on cat and dogs and lasts a couple of months.

I never had much success with pig oil and sulphur for Spud, always had to resort to Detromax but may work on her, I asked my Vet about Frontline yesterday and he suggested Deosect/Deosan?, I thought that was systemic as well though?
I think the Ruggle-it may be starting to work as she isn't stamping anywhere near as much and hasn't bitten her legs and made them bleed for 2 days now.
Fingers crossed!!!
