Oops - I could blame sleep deprivation from foal-watch but I think it's probably a wone induced error as I was celebrating the end of a successful foaling season as I typed  A whole bottle of fizz between the 2 of us! Flame did arrive yesterday, so May has now been amended to June |

Has everybody finished foaling now? If so, 2015 was definitely the "Year of the COLT"  It's crazy here with 4 fit and healthy boys. They are quite simply nuts! I have never seen so much racing, prancing, wrestling and fighting in the 20 years that we've been breeding horses. I just hope they all make it through to weaning despite their best efforts at mutual sabotage Please can we have some nice, quiet fillies next year...... |

yep year of the colt. We have had a difficult covering season with three mares absorbing and others ovulating early off immature follicles. The result being only two mares in foal for us next year and I am going to re-scan them soon just to check.We have had success with most of the visiting mares as I hate sending them home empty.

I have two dales foals this year, my first ones! 4 weeks ago a bay filly by Roandale Blossom and 2 weeks ago a black colt foal by Malhamdale Storm Cat. Both foals gorgeous and doing well.
