I finally got organised today and arranged for my dad to take the cart up to the yard so I could get Pait out. I actually think this may be my first drive of 2015 but it takes a lot of planning to get everything in the right place at the right time. I gave Pait a quick longrein round the arena in full harness then with Em holding hitched her up. A couple of laps (it's pretty tight so don't like to do much in there) just to check Pait was confident being back between shafts after a good break and we set off down the road. Poor Em got to be a foot soldier as I had another girl from the yard in the cart with me but Pait was as good as gold. We went down the common then I had the job of turning round which means me asking Pait to full go into the shaft and 180 me round. She started turning then paused at the pressure I very nearly aborted the turn and was eyeing up what plough field I could use the edge of when Pait just tossed her head and went right mum I know what you want and threw herself into the shaft and brought it round for me. <3 Had a good trot back and walked through the village back to the yard. She was an absolute super star.

I didn't realise she drove as well, she looks lovely what a good girl she is.
Connie drives and I wouldn't mind giving it a go at some point later, but I'll stick to riding for the time being.

Pait was sent away to be broken to harness the other year whilst I went to Austria and it was moments like that that proved it was one of the best ideas I had!
