Its great to see pics of Tola. She looks a lovely chunky sort with good width to her already. She and Merlin are going to have some fun over the next few months. I am sure weaning her with a companion has been just the right thing to do. What did you do, take Rose away to a stable?

Tola is lovely and she does look big ( ie. tall, not fat, lol!!!) in the pictures.
Glad that she had a nice weaning with Merlin to baby-sit!

I'm pleased the weaning has gone smoothly. It is the ideal situation to let them self-wean when they are ready, as Tola clearly was. Thanks for the further update - I do enjoy reading about all the goings on in the herd.  |

Whoops! Nothing like making friends with the neighbors  I hope she didn't damage too many of the seedlings. What an ideal way to wean. Sounds like they're all adapting to the change brilliantly. Had to laugh over Merlin thinking she was playing with him ;D Good thing he's a rough tough boy. |

Lovely photos, the best one has got to be the action shot with her Mum, that is lovely. What a pretty filly, i bet you are so pleased with her.
