After a scarey day out without Claire 2 weeks ago (well it was very windy and I was having steering problems) and last week long reining Isaac instead, we took Trolley-Polley out again today in the cart. We met soo much traffic today it was unbelievable and down my narrow little lanes with minimal passing places too! Amy was yet again a super-star! We also did some kerbing and off-roading to practice how she'd cope in controlled circumstances. Nothing phased her except standing still for too long! LOL! Anyway, more piccies to bore you with cos I'm so chuffed with her! Here we go again! Been there, done that, got the T-shirt! Oooh! Do you carry TREATS??!!! Rolling along! I suppose you want me to trot up this hill? Bye bye Claire! She's much more forward going in the trap, obviously designed for driving!!

Awww she's lovely. Looks like she's taking it like a duck to water!
Here's hoping it carries on going nice and smoothly for you.

I can't begin to explain how much fun it is! Scarey too at times, but great fun! I'm laughing at myself, looking at the whole Amy saga, there's tons of very samey pics with one laid back black pony and two very LOUD grinning idiots! Shame the fields too wet else Claire would have us doing cones!

Brilliant! What a star she is! Did you manage to find out whether she's had any driving experience before? It looks SUCH fun although I can see it might be a bit scary at times! Interesting you say she is more forward going in the trap. I often wonder how Harvey would take to driving but I haven't got the people to help and it is clearly not a one-woman job!

I've just read all the Amy threads and WELL DONE!! She looks lovely and relaxed and you look as pleased as punch! I put Harley in shafts last year - it's a wonderful feeling isn't it? I haven't driven him since November but want to get going again soon

Not sure if Amy's been there, done it, got the t-shirt! She's not telling, and I've not managed to find out yet, though her previous owner says not. It's definately not a one-man sport, unless you get a saddlechariot, I'm still toying with the idea. I'm very lucky to have someone to learn with (my friend, Sue) and a brill teacher in Claire, and (probably!) the best pony in the world!!!
We're going to get Isaac and Pants going too, but that will take a little more work I think! Maybe even Choc if we get really big and brave!! Maybe not!
Thanks for everyone's interest!

Way to go Amy!!!! I love all the pics you've been taking along the way. They've been really helpful, even if they seem samish to you, they don't to me. What's kerbing??

Bumping up and down the road edges (kerbs) which jolts the cart in case we do it by mistake (given my lack of steering it's only a matter of time!!!) so she's not bothered by it. I nearly tipped us out of the cart doing it on one muddy bank that got steeper and I hadn't noticed!

Great thread and piccies Lucy! Amy looks so layed back and content. Love your vehicle as well, what make is it? It looks more roomy than some two wheelers and easier to get on and off of.

It's Claire Dale's family breaking cart (room for 3, quick in and out) or unknown origin!! Sorry I don't know any more. Don't think it's a known make! Thanks for your kind comments, Amy is doing really well. Sue and I took her out on our own on Sunday and she was great! We also took both the boys out long reining on Sat and they did really well too. Start them all before Claire needs the cart back!!
