It's been a lovely birthday weekend. It started at lunch time on Friday - I finished work early and spent the afternoon with my bloke. Claire arrived in the evening and filled me in on the details of the birthday dinner she and Andrew had organised for me at a local restaurant on Saturday.
Saturday morning I went for a cuppa at the stables and gave Bea a cuddle and then went into York to do a bit of shopping with Claire and get my nails and hair done (all organised by Claire). I got some FAB shoes in a sale - I daren't tell you what the original price was....but they are the most expensive shoes I've ever owned and were a bargain.
I got home to find Gill and Pam were here with Claire - and there was only just time for a quick cuppa before I had to go and get changed to go out. 26 friends and family came from all over the country to help me celebrate and we had a fantastic evening.
I got loads of lovely presents....Claire and Martin gave me a half day of rally driving (bit like Linda had). I'm sooooooo excited about that - I've always wanted to have a go. Andrew gave me an iPod which I absolutely love and have been playing with today. He loaded some music and some videos onto it for me - trying to educate my musical taste I think! LOL
On Sunday it was open house in the morning and quite a few people popped in for coffee which was great. Went to see Bea in the afternoon, then came home for a cuddle with OH, a quiet evening and an early night.
Today was spent with OH relaxing and playing music - and recovering from the weekend.
I've had a wonderful time. I was touched that so many people came from so far to help me celebrate on Saturday.
Back to work and normality tomorrow.......
