Thank you so much everyone.
I'm still slightly stunned even though I've had weeks trying to get my head around it, and even though we had it all planned, it is only when the day actually dawns that I wonder how mad I am!
Sue - nice to hear your point of view, I have thought that it must be really hard at the younger age, but I suppose any age gap has problems etc.

I too thought that this might be what was going on, I had a 3 year gap between my first and second then 21 months between second and third

Congratulations to you all !!!!!  my brother and sister in law are just about to announce they are expecting their 2nd baby, their first, Lars will be 2 in Feb so I think they've planned it quite well too! |

Congratulations! I too half guessed what was in the offing!
I had 15 months between my first two as I thought that while I was changing one nappy I might as well change two! It worked out so well that when we had our next two I wanted the same sort of age gap but it didn't work out quite as close the second time - 19 months.
