LOL I think the site of a hen in one of those would make the others keep away! Maybe i should try one for Cookie and see if I can introduce her to the flock!
I think your set up is perfect. I used to keep my girls in our big greenhouse during the wet, winter months but now Tot the tortoise spends winter in there.

Awwwhhh, very cute!! But so far the damage that I can tell she's getting is to the wing feathers and on her sides, not so much the back where a rooster would be. Still....with that get up they might think she's some terrifying monster and leaver her alone!!! My girls say, for the record, they adored living indoors with their climate control, toys, and comforts all close at hand. Seems a bit silly given how hard we're trying to get them back outdoors. But our great outdoors is chocked full of critters .....all of whom want chicken for dinner.
