I had a reallly good look at the french one at Hickstead on Friday. I was really quite impressed. I dont want to run a 4x drive, so I think it will be a very good option for me. That or the IW single. I will save up the pennies and see how I feel then!!

I like the look of the 4000 series with herringbone partitions, shame they don't list prices, as I assume it would be way beyond me!

If you send an email to them they will get back to you with a distributor for prices. I have the 2003 which was £2873 which is quite a bit cheaper than the IW. Jo x

I have just bought a 505 for £1650 it is 9 years old but in really good condition.
Bev - I think some of the old ones had ply sides we went to see one. Has it a door to open above the ramp or just a ramp? I think that signals they are quite old.
If you write the serial number down and call Ifor they can do a check on age and whether it has ever been reported stolen. We did that as we went to see one they claimed was a little over 8 years £1800 and it was over 20 years old someone must have done a good patch up!
I like mine so far but can't drive it as need a licence am going to have some lessons meanwhile OH is driving

my main gripe with ifor's is they are theif magnets, i've had 2 stolen. currently i tow a bateson which is great but doesn't "stick" to the road as well. i would buy a fautras if i was shopping now, or maybe a bockman

We recently bought an old Westfalia, tows like a dream even with Sooty in I can tow it easily with the car. Very cheap and cheerful! very sound. Before that we had a small Bahill for Jordie which also towed well.

I like my clansman, it is light and airy and good to tow. And it doesn't have the same 'nickability' as the Ifors!

I have actually used my trailer now!! Only problem was Sandy went down in it twice, which made me panic as she finds it hard toget up at the best of times. However she did and when we travelled her after that we left the front top door open and put her fly mask on to protect her eyes and she was fine. Went along like a dog with her head out of the door!! Spoke to my vet and they said to give her optrex eyedrops before and after travelling to prevent "dry eye" which is apparently what dogs get if they do this. We think she needs the horizon outside to balance?! Would that make sense? Anyone else have this happen or travel with the quarter door open? Have you had any problems doing it? Jo x

Doris would also like the front top door open to peer out of - I've only done it once on a very short journey, just worried about stones etc hitting her (yes I know I'm paranoid). Was thinking about replacing the top door with one of fine mesh so she could still see out, but not get her whole head out

I have the single ivor williams. I love it! Dont use it very much these days, but it has lots of room. More than the pony would have in a double.
Oh... One of our neighbours in teh next village has an ivor williams where the cuddies travel in it facing backwards... ie... looking out towards the rear of the trailer.
Anyone else got, used or seen one of these? Its a lot longer in length to accommodate the head and neck of the pony, ie the head is behind the rear ramp, not looking over it.
I understand its supposed to be more comfortable for the pony during travel this way... Ali and I travelled her shetland in my single trailer, we took out the breast bar as it sort of met with his forelock! lol. When we arrived, there was Rambo facing backwards with a nice pile of dung by the front ramp.
