I'm hoping to get a pair with some Christmas money.  I think the Musto ones are pretty good, but wondered if any of you had tried different makes?  |

I just got myself a pair. i tried the Musto ones and the Rambo ones. The Musto felt the nicest quality and material wise but they wren't a good fit. They are VERY large sized - the medium drowned me and the small was OK round the waist but a bit tight over my thigh. I went for theRambo Medium in the end. They are lovely and warm, look tough but don't have such a good waist band and are a bit tight round the waist. I would have liked to compare them to the Mountain Horse range but didn't see any.

For the waterproof full chaps I have the Mountain Horse ones - fleece lined.
They are WONDERFUL and I've had them 3 years and they are still as good as new.
For full waterproof trousers, Sprayaway are expensive but very good, as are Berghaus and North Face.

I have th Rambo fleece lined full chaps. They are lovely and warm but are quite long in the leg. Medium suit say a 12-14 but at 5'2" they are just a bit too long for me.

I have the musto ones Jacqui in a medium and they are great! the mountain horse ones are lovely but very difficult to get hold of.

Iv just bought a pair of Rambo ones which my friend has and really raves about them. I ummed and arred but in the end got them and they are great! really really warm but as Jo says they are very long in the leg and I usually buy trousers in long length!

Id forgotten how good the rambo fleece full chaps are until this weekend.
That said I wasnt impressed with the sizing. I think I ended up getting the largest size they do and they're a very snug fit round the thighs. They are far too long and I dodnt think Ive got particuarly short legs- I end up turning about 2 inches up.
They are so warm though....

I got some Rambo ones for Christmas. They are a bit long, but nice. Everything else was sold out. They've been flying off the rails at the saddlery. The only MH ones left were kiddies.

What size did you get Jacqui? Mine are the Medium. The length is fine and they are very comfortable and warm - rode in them yesterday for the first time and they wre great. But I don't like the waist band bit. The elastic is too tight for my waist so I'm going to alter it somehow.
Same happened here - all makes of overtrousers have been flying off the rails. All the wet weather we've had I suppose.

I had to get XL in size and Im wondering if whoever did the pattern cutting also think people who need XL also have longer legs! LOL. I dont think I can live without them now!

LOL thats why I like my rain legs Bev! Even if I could find overtrousers that would fit -comfortably - round my somewhat ahem chunky thighs, I just KNOW that they would be suitable for a 7 foot tall rugby player with legs up to his neck...
