I thought for showing purposes, overheight ponies were also graded as a Section B, even if correctly marked??

From what I understand they are marked down on there conformation for being over height but not down to a section B.

Yes, I'm sure you're correct Zoe123...otherwise they would need to be updated as the pony finished growing.
Also, any foals from a Section C mare would be a Section B, even if correctly marked.

You are right Zoe. You probably did read it on the DPS website - here is the link - www.dalespony.org/Breed.htmHave you been in contact with any breeders? Did you find any? Many breeders do not have a big internet presence or interest so would be better contacted by phone. Jo Ashby as secretary really is the best person to contact in my opinion. Will you be coming to the Spring Show as a few have suggested? It's a lovely atmosphere and a jolly good day out.

I've got a Kilmannan pony and he's really lovely and I've ridden quite a few of Bill Ireland's and they are all lovely and spent lots of time in the fields there chatting to them and they are all lovely and friendly!
