Tola is now three weeks old and much more settled. She's growing like a weed and Rose is doing her proud. I think Rose is giving Tola so much as she likes the way the buckets of feed keep appearing! At the moment she's losing around 7-10kg a week on what she's getting, once she's dropped another 10kg then she'll get TopSpec cubes added to her alfafa, speedibeet and TopSpec Balancer to ensure she doesn't lose any more. Meantime Tola is putting on loads every week.
Both are looking and doing rather well.
As well as suckling Tola is now experimenting with grazing although she has to bend her super long legs quite a bit to find the forage.
Sometimes you find strange things in the field to sniff and try out your teeth on! I was sat in the field with a book and the camera.
Sometimes it all gets a bit too scary and you have to hide behind mum and suss things out before coming out to play again. She's grown just a bit, I had the vet out to look at Bonnie today (he's fine) and he couldn't believe how big, strong and energetic she is now.
For comparison here she is at fours days old and sporting her jacket as she was so cold she was shivering
Once she's had something to eat she has the energy to build up her muscles more and practise her gallop for Derby racing day
Then it's sleepie time. She also, in true Dales style, grazes whilst lying down like this.
To finish here's one with me trying to be artistic. Ear fluff and eyelashes.
I've got way too many pictures now and hope to take some more video soon.
