Hurrah! Vet came this afternoon and I got to see a....... ...................Baby Leia  Zelda's lovely Killington Princess Leia is in foal.  I'm so grateful to Tom and Zelda for lending her to me, she is such a beautiful pony and a nice person to have around. Baby's 10 weeks old, so we watched the heartbeat, I could have cried I was so overcome. Woo Hoo  |

I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes. Leia is such a lovely mare and gentle person that to have a foal from her is a fantastic thing. I am so pleased for all involved. Congratulations Maggie, Zelda and Leia. If she's ten weeks today then she's only got another 39 to go.

Yes it's fantastic news and all down to Maggie's wonderful AI skills, fingers crossed that all goes smoothly and Maggie and Roger have a wonderful Dales foal nest year I still have a big grin on my face quite a few hours after Maggie's phone call ;D |

When Richard, the vet, asked who the father was, I said
'I AM'
because Leia is FAR too much of a lady for any hanky-panky or that sort of thing, she was AI'd, so I feel like a proud parent LOL!
The guy who provided the necessary though is our young stallion Colliery Bill II. He's got 2 foals on the ground and a few more due next spring and I can't wait to see them.
