SADDLECHARIOT DEMO NEXT SUNDAY (29th Oct)

Sorry I’ve been a little quiet, too many things on the go at the moment.

The demo’s on!! SUNDAY 29th Oct, starting 10.30ish for an 11am start (unless that gives problems to anyone in which case shout!)

I’m near Ashbourne, will PM postcode and directions to all hopefully today.

Simon isn’t going to charge us, but is planning a sponsored Hadrian’s wall ride in aid of the Royal National Institute for the Deaf, so donations to the RNID would be very welcome. I suggest I do a collection on the day then give him a cheque if everyone’s happy with this?

I’m happy to enlist my OH to cater for us at lunch, chilli and rice or stew or something, so please shout if you don’t do a bit spicy and/or would prefer something vegetarian. Cakes and sweets please bring some if you fancy them! We can do tea and coffee all day on a help yourself basis!

I think the idea is for Simon & Henry to do a demo, then anyone who wants a go to have one until Henry gets bored (LOL!) and then to introduce the chariot to Tyson if Mair is able to bring him (sorry I’ve not phoned you yet!) so we can see how it’s done and then for Tyson to take over the “have a go’s” if Mair AND Tyson are happy with this. You can also meet my gang, who will be incensed at the new equine invasion (hee hee), catch up with friends old and new, and bugger off when you or I run out of steam or stay late if you choose! Does that sound like a plan? Ooh remember the clocks change on Sat pm I think!!

Can you pls confirm by Thursday for catering purposes. If you can’t make it this time I may well buy one so you’ll probably get another chance!

I really hope lots of folks can come to make it a good event for Simon as he’s coming a long way to see us, and also I it will be great for me to have a fun day as I have to go for a liver biopsy the week after and I need something else to think about!! (My friend on Friday asked me when I was going for my “autopsy” – hopefully not for many years yet!!! LOL! )

I find talking easier than typing so if you’d let me have your phone no if there are any specific questions via a pm I’ll ring you … honest!

Hi, still not up to speed on forums fora whatever but I am really looking forward to the demo at Lucy's. it should be a bundle of laughs and good practice for monday when I will be teaching the guys who do the steelwork to drive saddlechariots in Birmingham on the street half a mile from spaghetti junction.

The good news: Just seen the weather for sunday and it looks good (fingers crossed).
The bad news: It's gonna rain cats and dogs on Sat so the field will be a lake!
Steve's been shopping and has lunch well planned (what a great chap!) so I just need to spring-clean my yard (ha ha!) and jet wash the ponies! LOL!

We had a brilliant day, lots of fun, great chat, lovely food (thanks Steve). Simon's a real hoot and the Saddlechariot was amazing. Roger's working out how we can justify buying one!

Say now...this would be great for promoting all those smaller breeds... the sort that people here in the US look down their noses at because they're 'too small to be of any use' .....lol... Sounds like they're positively brilliant at this Saddlechariot.

Has anyone posted a thread with pics of the demo? I can't find anything on here about it, and I'd really like to see. It sounds like such fun!
