WARNING - PLEASE READ

I have three VERY important security messages I need everyone to read and digest.

The first two are on the subject of passwords.

1) Over the next couple of weeks I'm going to have to be messing around in the bowels of the board to get it working for the change over on the 28th.

It has come to my attention that this may cause problems with passwords. Three people yesterday had difficulties logging in. So if you have difficulties logging in PLEASE email me on

2) There has been a possible breach of security. I therefore ask that you ALL go and change your passwords - just to be sure.

3) This is just so everyone is clear and understands exactly what I can and cannot do, especially regarding the issue of personal messages.

On occassions I have had to log on as another member in order to resolve a technical issue they may be having. When I am logged in I could, if I chose, view your personal messages.

Of course I would NEVER do this, but for your and my protection I suggest that no-one keeps personal/private information in their PM system. You can use the back up system to copy your PMs to your computer, then you can delete anything personal from your PM account.

Unfortunately I cannot switch off this ability for me as admin, as people will need me to be able to access their accounts on occasions.

Just to add this applies to ALL (without exception) boards - so I wouldn't keep personal info on any of them!!!

I know I am dim, but how do I change my password? I have looked in my profile and I cant see how to do it!

Did you go into the modify profile bitKhristyne, there is a section in that for your password

I've done it - but was really sad to lose my old password. I liked it......just hope I can remember the new one LOL

We don't have to change it do we? I'm keeping mine as I don't think I've got anything I need to hide anyway!

I'm not changing mine either, unless Olivia tells us we really do have to. I can't cope with remembering different passwords! I've nothing private in here that I couldn't share with others but maybe there is some external security risk I don't understand?

Well I haven't changed mine either, I don't have any sesitive info in my PMs

Well I did change mine as I don't like the idea of someone possibly getting into my account and doing something with it that I don't want. I don't mind about my pms, but hackers can get up to all sorts of mischief , and I wouldn't like to think I gave them an in.

Besides, if it turns out to be impossible, I can always change it back later once the changes are finished.

Who on earth would want to read anyone elses pms??!! I changed my password LOL im getting used to it!
