had a fantastic day with Tommy [murthwaite gurkha] at NCPA lancs today. won the m and m yearling class.....5 ponies entered....not a huge class but all good ponies forward. then went under another judge in another ring for the PUK 3 year old and under mixed m and m breeds.........13 ponies forward inc welsh and Tommy won that and took the best yearling rosette!!! he then went on to take the PUK section CHAMPION! he was in against the 1st and 2nd prize winners of the 4 year old and over large breeds, 4 year old and over small breeds and obviously the 2nd placed pony in his class. he qualified for the Pony of the year show twice and also qualified for the PUK winter champs!..........i doubt we will be going as it is a busy time of year with all the ponies inside, but nevertheless, we are thrilled to have qualified. couple of pics of col and tommy

awww thanks ohhhh tommy loves his feed bucket......full or empty! LOL pam, we are really pleased with tommy and how he is turning out. he has bags of character and can be a little "monkey" to handle from time to time, but has a good brain and learns quickly. he BOUNCED off the wagon when we arrived at the NCPA, giving mini rears and huge plunges!!!! after i had done a couple of laps of the car park, up and down the lane several times and twice round the building, he settled! LOL he went lovely in the ring, which is all that matters. i walk him out at home and he is great company, just like taking a big puupy for a walk! ROFL SUE!!!!!! if you had seen colin running you would have given him the rosettes! barbara, you may not believe this, but i bought that bridle for a pony of mine when i was 15!!!......uhh hum, its 24 years old!!!! [apart from the browband which i swap and change]
