Thanks everyone for your great advice!! I feel so much happier now! Looking at his parents I feel confident that he will develop well, I just want to help him do it right!!! He is so well behaved for his age though, and at the moment I suppose I should be grateful for that!!!
Particular thanks to Mary for all of that info!!! It was very interesting to read. I promise to be patient. I have a 26 year old semi-retired dales to keep ticking along at the moment anyway, so it's not such a bad thing!
Lizzy, I have bought 2 new batteries recently, at £10 per time and it still keeps conking out, so I am not sure what the problem is!! PAH!

I wouldn't worry they are a slow maturing breed. My 2 year old Foxglove isn't looking very grown up either. You will get a better comparison at Bakewell as the class will only be two year olds.

Definitely let them take their time to grow up, and use the shows for education. It's usual to see the youngsters go through a gawky/leggy stage although my girls seems to have missed it, Olivia in particular is very mature physically for her age (but not mentally!). However I don't relish the thought of taking either of them to an inhand show LOL.
