Is anyone definately going to this?
If so - I may need to beg a favour!! As Lea is still out of action, I am very possibly going to be a 'billy no mates', as I was meant to be riding around with Lisa & Lea. I dont fancy going around by myself - so, if anyone is going and wouldnt mind a 'tagger onner' so to speak, please could you let me know.
We are very well behaved (normally!) and do not cause major disruptions.

Hi Bow and I will (hopefully) be going to this - loose shoes permitting!!! You would be very welcome to ride round with us. Look for the landrover, towing an Ifor Williams trailer with a bay mare (14hh) with attitude!!! Then check that there is a short fat hairy girl (is that the correct term for a nearly 50-year old?) in attendance. If so, thats us! Jill and Bow. Attach yourselves to us and welcome. Jill

Aw - thats great - thanks guys!!! At least I know that there will be someone I can ride around with! There is only so much of my own singing I can cope with! ;D
Its a shame Paddy is been a so and so Em! The pony we normally 'borrow' does not travel well - at all. She cant even stand up in a straight line! OH has refused point blank to tow her again - and fair play to him really. He had a migrane last time he towed her from sheer stress.

It travels perfectly- blooming typical. But it doesnt see why it should do any work ie going down the road it will do a 180 with no warning at speed. Needless to say Ive sat on Hillam main road once. Likewise in the school. And we have had battles every hack where Ive remained on board (somehow). Idle little coloured creature. Still havent sent the form off (shoot me!), planning on the longer ride seem as we did over 15 at the last pleasure ride and yeti was still bouncing. Hoping he calms down!

Jo
I'm hoping to take Megz. We'll recognise you by the blur of feathers obliterating every other distinguishing feature of pony and rider. You'll be able to recognise us because of the ridiculous abundance of fluorescent stuff being worn by both pony and rider! I like to do the rides reasonably speedily, but sensibly, though Megz does sometimes have to piaffe a little if she's a bit excited!

Well - in a strange twist of luck - Lea could well be joining us after all!!! The vet has been to see her earlier this week - is very happy with what she has found and said that she can be turned out with a tubegrip on to cover the silver stuff and keep it in place. She can come back in to light work, but will have to have exercise bandages on obviously. There is still an 'open wound' but she needs to start working it or she will not have the flexibility she needs!!! So hey-ho, fingers crossed, and off to Bramham we go.
It will be a sedate walk around only though if she goes. Lisa thinks she is going to have to go western for a while as Lea has lost so much topline and is very withery. The English saddle might put too much pressure on her back at the moment.
So - i will see you all there - as you know - you cant miss me!! Many thanks for you kind offers of company! Feel free to join us for a steady mooch! LOL

I want to go, I want to go, BUT I can't ride. I really can't and its so frustrating, as I was getting braver too. It is bloomin' typical - but I have a really painful foot, my delightful Diana has stood on my heel walking to the field behind me to avoid a crop of very scary fertiliser bags which grew in the yard overnight about 7 weeks ago! She didn't mean it! But I wish she would think about where she puts her feet - it is so painful I can hardly stand on it by evening!
Sedate companionship would have suited me down to the ground as well.

Aww Penny - what a bummer!!! It might turn around before! I am ever the optamistic!! LOL
I know what you mean about where they 'put' themselves! Why is it always on you and not around?! And how dare that fertiliser suddnely make itself visable after only 7 weeks!!! Standard notice is at least 10!!! ;D Diana was well within her rights! LOL

Yes, we will have to see. I wonder what the close date for entries is - have details somewhere, but too lazy to look.
I have now made another appt., will see what my GP says on Friday pm.
ps., I have forgiven Diana, I love her too much to get really cross and in a funny way, it shows she trusts me if you know what I mean!

I wish I could do it. If I had a horse I'd be very tempted to ignore medical advice and get on and ride. The weather is far too nice to be stuck on the ground.

Karen, it is orginised by RDA. It is £10 to enter and min on £10 sponsorship
The cut off for entries is tomorrow, but my friend called the orginser last year and got an extension on it so she could post her entry off.
I do still have all the forms on the PC so if you want one, pm me your e-mail address and i will wiz one over for you. (that offer goes for anyone else as well! ;D)
Thanks for the well wish Em - she has come a long way in a short space of time! Just one day at a time now I think!
