I've copied and pasted my reply from another thread and added piccies that Joe took - I'm afraid she ran out of steam. In the last class she tried her level best to give me a good trot round in the group but ran out of puff half way through! I cut my individual show short as I really felt the poor pony had tried her best. She did really well in the in hand in the morning though and picked up a fourth. The dressage was really funny - no impulsion and mooching round like a seaside donkey! I don't think anyone will believe this was a really forward going pony that used to bolt and get very tense about everything! I'm wondering if we ever do anything like this again whether I should give her a couple of scoops of oats the day before! I will be working on stamina over the next few weeks! Alison, Doris, D and me waiting in the line up: Alison and Doris: Chatting to Rodger while waiting: Judge having a look: Trot up sticking my tongue out!: First four places: Good God, we got a rosette! (Judge looks like he doesn't believe he's done it either!: Smiling!: Claire reminded me to smile during the dressage - ended up laughing at me and my donkey! Walk on long rein? Buggered more like! Run out of steam completely in the ridden - Claire doing well with Fergie behind us:

God I'm stupid! Yes! It's Kim! It's Claire nattering to me in the line up! It doesn't take much to make me muddled. (I am pretty tired this morning and that's my excuse!)

Congratulations Linda!! Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.......
Dunno about feeding oats before a show! I feel every so wary about giving heating foods, especially as D doesn't ususally get a feed does she? Perhaps if you can work on D's fitness and stamina she won't need extra feed. Or a cool mix could provide a degree of energy without the fizz.
LOL - I'm just grinning to myself that you want D to have more get-up-and-go!! Never thought I'd hear you say that EVER! Brilliant........LOL

brilliant day for D - what an achievement just getting there must have been for her anyway with all that you two have been through, and recent events too. Don't forget D had to have a break from her riding regime recently because you couldn't ride for a while! I think she did very well and as always was beautifully turned out. Lovely to see you and Joe again.
