I was shocked by some of the 'ringcraft' tactics and the 'intended to be hurtful' comments made by some other competitors but I guess we enjoyed ourselves more than they did as we were happy just be there competing whislt they seemed to take it all waaaay too seriously and almost enjoy denigrating everyone else there.

Not sure quite what I could have taught you, but I'm flattered (unless of course what I taught you was bad - like not galloping in your lap of honour in case it gets out of control ;D )

Unfortunately the comments are one of the downsides of showing. I've already read on another site about the judging being poor, etc, etc but I watched 2 of the previous classes and I thought the judging was pretty fair - although I did feel for those in the larger classes when the judge chose not to strip their ponies, and I did think one particular Shetland was placed much lower than deserved.

Zelda - I didn't realise you were there cheering Heather on. Shame I didn't get a chance to meet you...maybe next time.

Huge congrats Heather and well done for achieving your goal! Unfortunately the b*tchy comments are often a part and parcel of showing esp at the higher levels, but looks as if you enjoyed yourself immensely and that's what it's all about ;D
