I think destruction is in the genes... a couple of mine are showing tendancies its quite worrying. I keep meaning to ask how Oliver is bred. You did brilliantly...... and such a small amount of damage ..

Oliver could try the patience of a saint .....but we love him really, and were so pleased that he managed to get through the day without causing too much havoc.
Katiejane, Oliver is by Waterside William II out of Darrenvale Katie (Fell ) so we have the best of both breeds!!

mmmm, well, you can't blame william! LOL he was always a model pony...........very easy to keep and very well behaved. katie was very good too.......calm and a cool half back that kept herself to herself.........so just where has oliver got these tendancies from??? and don't say the turners, mair!!!!! LOL

I would not blame the Turner family for Olivers ...er, inquisitive mind!! But on the show programme, it did say who bred him LOL!!
Oliver was very happy to meet all the Dalesfans. And enjoyed looking in Bev's handbag. Maybe looking for the sloe gin? In the first pic I posted he was watching people warm up for the dressage. He watched the dressage with great interest. Probably thinking I could give that a go!!
Lesley, thank you for taking the pics. I will e mail you my address.

Perhaps the mischievous tendencies are a throwback to Grandparents! Or maybe some ponies just never grow up! Aster is showing no signs of giving up. LOL

me thinks oliver should have been a human, in which case, because he is male, he will be at least 40 when he starts to show any signs of remotely growing up!

OMG if Oliver lives until he is 51, acting like he is now, I will have been driven round the bend long before then - can you imagine me, a poor 90 year old trying to repair all the damage he does?
He does seem to prefer human company. Every night he comes and waits by the fence expecting to be brought in, groomed and ridden - he enjoys human contact even if it means work!! I am just pleased we have our own land, I cannot imagine a livery yard sticking us for very long.
