D's show

It took D and me 6 years to get to the Performance Show. Every year either I was broken, or D was, or I just didn't have the confidence after one of my accidents.

So this year we went for it and what a brilliant day we had. D did not put a foot wrong. All the errors were mine.

We got 2nd in the T&T, 5th in the WH, 3rd in the Handy pony, 3rd in the dressage and 4th in the SJ. I really only wanted to get though each class in one piece and never expected to pick up any rossettes.

I owe many thanks to my friends for helping me to get to this place where I am really enjoying my lovely pony.

Highlights of the day were actually getting D going rather nicely in the "go round" in the ridden show even if I did balls up the individual show, actually achieving canter in the dressage, clearing every jump I pointed D at and actually enjoying it, D whizzing through all the scarey stuff in the HP, having a mad gallop with Gill and Karen IN A SNAFFLE, swigging Bev's Sloe gin, drinking Colin's wine, drinking Maxine's wine, drinking Claire's Bucks Fizz and enjoying all the DF chat and laughter!
