Guess what..... its my mothers recipe! She really should start a book...
Anyway, another christmas favourite. All stuff is easy to get and the results are great.
200g packet of extra light philidelphia or ordinary cream cheese. Half a pint of double cream. Table spoon tomato ketchup Half a level table spoon of curry powder, or more to taste. A table spoon of a good quality chutney. (Branston or better still homemade)
Sling the lot into a bowl and mix until all mixed in.
If you over beat it the cream makes it a bit thick, so just stir it all in well.
VERY popular.
Just need some crisps to dunk in now!!

Easy peasy dip for crisps.
Half a pint of double cream. Squirt of lemon juice, or instead of cream and lemon juice you can use creme friesh (spelling) To this add a packet of instant soup mix.
If a little thick add some single cream to thin it down. Its really easy and very effective.
The best instant soup mix is French Onion (use soup mix to taste - about half a packet is excellent). But we can no longer buy french onion packet soup on the island.....
If anyone knows of somewhere in UK that sells it....?

Mickey, if you go to the sauces section of the supermarket you can usually find the packet soups. The one we used this year was French Onion soup mix by Knorr. Im sure you must be able to get it in UK if we can get it over here.... IM doubley made up too, as Knorr has finally removed all their hydrogenated fats from their dried food products.... HAYYYYY
