Pour out a perfectly good bottle of whisky into a bowl. Dont use the single malt stuff for this.... Recipe does make Bells a good choice though.
Into the whisky bottle.... assuming youve bought a 75cl bottle.
Add about 4 oz of white sugar. Now fill the bottle with WASHED (dont want a floating maggot to appear...) ripe blackberries.
Top up with whisky.
Invert regulary to mix.
SUPER DOOPER. Makes a good liquier, ace poured over vanilla icecream. Is also very good mixed with a good lemonade to make a longer drink with.

You can experiment with amounts, as with sloe gin.
We have made several bottles, using various amounts of sugar - I use golden caster, or granulated, or demerara.
We don't like things too sweet and so in a 1 1/2 litre kilner jar, we filled it half full of blackberries, and used 4oz brown sugar. You can always add sugar later if needed, but can't take it away if it's too sweet!
