Since i've not been on for ages I should probably tell you that a few weeks ago on a drunken night out, I agreed to do a team chase on the beast!!!
We went on Sunday & before we were due to set off it suddenly didn't seem like such a good idea anymore,
bearing in mind we've never done one before & only had a go at a hunter trial once before which we entered the pre novice non competatively so I could go round wi my friend & that was it!!! Plus I couldn't remember the last time I had pointed her at a fence & only had a few weeks to practice!!!
Anyway, we set off & we were 2nd horse as horse in front has similar speed and will just go over anything!!!! Well, she just flew over all of them without blinking an eye at them!!! She wa like a little pro, we even ended up having to lead over the last 5 fences aswell as horse in front decided to jump wrong bit of one of the fence so she had to go back & re-jump it. So in the end we came over finish first!! Granted in all my excitement I forgot to go through the finish gate instead of the start gate as they were right next to each other.... ooops!!
but never mind..... in the end we ended up being 9th out of 35 teams!!!!
Here's a pic that the photographer took, ignore my dodgy face!! we were having to do a bit of a sharp right turn after that fence & considering the speed she was flying round & the fact that she pulled my arms out all the way round I wasn't sure if we'd make the turn!!!
