As its been quite a while I thought it might be nice to show you who my boys and girls are nowadays as its all changed over the last few years. I'm now a 4 pony owner (scary thought!) but they all live with mums lot so they just merge nicely with hers and I don't have to think hard about owning too many hehe
My three boys are all entires currently and I hope two are going to stay that way, the third is a pain in the bum (he's not really, just a cheeky monster) so is booked in for the snip next week
This is Hett William or Wills for short. He's by Westwick William out of Hett Rachel and is a little sweetie. I'm quite proud of this chap although he isn't the most mature yet but it'll come and he's also an August baby so going to be a little behind. Plan is to do a couple of shows (maybe a few more if i get carried away) this year but then license him and do a proper show season as a 3 year old next year. He may also cover one mare this year to learn his manners this year but it depends on him.
He's had a bit of a mega growth spurt recently and has gone leggy (which i am cursing him for but thankfully we're still 6 weeks off the breed so plenty of time to level out)
This was taken about 6 weeks ago
and this was at the weekend doing our practise
I also have a couple of yearling colts, Wolsey Xabi (Ravenstar x W.Thomasina) and Silton Black Jack (CH Luke x Hodgson Lane Eloise). Both polar opposites really, black jack is quite a butch, cheeky character whilst Xabi is a much more reserved quiet chap.
Thats Black Jack and this is Xabs
and finally my 4th is non-dales She's actually (and I say this in a whisper) a welsh D filly. Rising 2 this year she's my future ride drive pony but she is also absolutly nutty Although everytime i explain this to someone they just reply "She's welsh". I was going to sell her last autumn as she wasn't making what I wanted but in the end we decided it would do no harm to run her over winter out 24/7 and I am so pleased we have as she's loved her winter out and is a changed beasty this spring. This was her in the school the other day.
Thats it for now, my other love of my life (coloured coblet) left for pastures new this morning but its the best thing for him even if its a pants, horrid (and over-complicated) decision so we won't dwell on that.
