whilst I'm on a roll of reintroducing everyone to my boys and girls I thought I'd show you our newest girlie. We were asked to go view this mare for a friend about 2/3 months ago (ish) and we loved her at the time, when we knew Murph was sorted in his new home we rang Sarah and Dale to ask if she was still for sale and she was . She's done very little but is broken to ride/drive. So green she wobbles in a line but also extremely chilled and sensible (but not a plod!). If she's unsure of something she just gives it a really wide berth rather than do anything daft. Even more perfectly she's broken to drive which is something I did a couple of years back with my dales gelding (tucker!) but haven't been able to do since then due to his DJD/arthritis/retirement. She's a pretty experienced driver and won the DPS Driven championship last summer with her owners hand-made/hand-painted tradesman cart. She's been here nearly 2 weeks now and has settled in really well, I had my first sit on her last weekend and I'm going to take her out for a play inhand on Monday to a show just to get her out to see things. She's 10 and pure-bred Dales (of course  ) Full name is Tudor Annie, she's Wolsey Lord Nelson x Abbeymead April Blosson. This was me having a sit on her at the weekend and this picture is her driven last summer, picture is copyright of Kim She's an absoulte sweetie she really is

I remember her from the trade-cart photo. She's a super mare. Do you plan to continue her driving career and will she be having a boyfriend this season, lol?

oh noo, mums not having this girlie for breeding from. She's my ride/drive for the next few (forever) years, i've got plenty of great driving plans for her as well as getting her doing some ridden classes. We may aim for a first show later this season but it depends on how her schooling comes along.

Ahhhhh - so you WILL be driving a steady Dales after all! She looks lovely and I do envy you the driving. I bought D as a ride and drive and really fancied driving down our country lanes to the various pubs, but it was not to be as D was totally unsuitable for driving! I will have to wait a few years now. I hope you will have LOADS of fun together!

Did she come with the cart and harness Anna, or will you have to put your own turn-out together?

no, I've got a harness and exercise cart from my driving days with Tucker but I hope to eventually get her into a private driving turnout in something like a ralli car. One day!
